Summary

This is a substantial garden studio extending over ten meters down the Pinto's garden. Our client wished to make maximal use of the space available so we built tight to both side and rear boundaries. The driver for this build was the need for a home office and work shop. In addition Mr Pinto wanted to incorporate a shower room into the design, to future proof the building and make it ideal for overnight guests.

Details

Our clients removed a number of sheds and cleared the garden, ready for their new bespoke studio. They discussed their requirements and vision with our designer David and together they came up with a solution that fitted the space, the budget and their aspirations. This like most of our studios is based on the Helix model, however any number of additional features or upgrades can be incorporated into the design as required. Here, for example, the glazed panel and French doors (9000mm wide by 2050mm high) are powder coated aluminium in anthracite grey (RAL 7016) and the steps are decked with our composite no slip planks also in RAL coded anthracite grey. Internally the ensuite is fitted with a compact sink and toilet (in vanity units), a roomy 900mm square corner shower with fully tiled walls, a thermostatic electric shower and extractor fan (with adjustable timer) and a three way macerator. The spacious main office area is floored in highly durable 10mm laminate and maintained at a perfect ambient temperature with the wall mounted Hitachi Shirokuma climate control unit. Finally, spaced throughout the studio are 13 internal and 3 external LED downlights, one strip light and 6 double power sockets. We hope this multifunctional office serves our clients well.
