Summary

Mr Durden wanted to install a garden office to enable him to work more effectively from home. Many people work all or part of their professional time from home but it's not always easy if surrounded by house and family related distractions. Our client had a wonderful plot in mind for his bespoke office studio, nestled within the tranquillity of his 'secret' garden, away from the main residence.

Bespoke Design: Carefully designed with an insulated and externally clad pedestrian door and 3 panel bi-folding door that allows the office and garden to feel like one inspiring space!

Thermowood cladding: We offer two types of cladding, both equally durable; western red cedar and Thermowood. Both are kiln dried, so will not warp or swell and is secured with secret stainless steel fixings that do not bleed. The cladding shown on this build is our standard Helix Thermowood cladding. It can be oiled annually but is otherwise maintenance free.

Glazing: 'A' rated argon filled double glazed throughout with energy efficient Planitherm total plus.

Frames: These are powder coated aluminium in RAL 7016 (anthracite grey).

Heating: Our buildings are incredibly well insulated but to tweak the temperature on really cold days we installed a wall mounted convector heater with thermostat and timer.

Laminate flooring: Our most popular floor, this 10mm v groove comes as standard in all Helix studios and is available in a number of effects and colour finishes (here being grey oak). It is exceptional durable and comes with a 25 year manufacturers residential warranty.

Electrics: 8 internal LED down-lights and 4 double power sockets installed and fully certified by our electrician in accordance with Part P.
