Our client needed some proper office space, away from the house, where he could work without interruption. This bespoke design incorporates minimal glass to reduce natural light and included the following features:
Site Clearance: We offer a turn key service from design to delivery of a ready to use building. If required, we will clear the existing site (and if needed, install retaining walls). For this project, our build team removed the existing shed and concrete slab, prior to commencing construction.
Glazing: French Doors (1.8m wide x 2.05m high) and a top hung window (0.8m wide x 0.48m high) on the rear wall.
Integral blinds: Contained within the double glazing without effecting energy performance. These blinds enable precise control of day light, an important factor when using computer etc.
Frames: uPVC double glazing (in anthracite grey: RAL 7016) with high security 5-point locking to doors and a key operated lock to the rear window.
Laminate flooring: Oak effect, 10mm v groove laminate that comes with a 25-year manufacturer's
Heating: 'Spaces' studios are exceptionally thermally efficient requiring minimal energy to achieve good ambient temperatures throughout the year. Here a slimline wall mounted convector heater with thermostat and timer was installed.
WiFi: Wireless broadband via power cable
Electrics: 4 internal and 2 external dimmable LED down-lights, 3 double power sockets (in brushed metal), all Part P certified.
