Summary

This deceivingly large garden studio is deeper than it is wide and has been designed with an angled wall along one side, to mirror the obtuse shape of the client's garden. It's intended use is as a music room in which Mr England, a DJ, can spin discs and practise his art. Given the inherent sound insulation of our buildings (by virtue of their material makeup), he didn't feel further acoustic enhancement was necessary.

Details

Bespoke design: Very few gardens are perfectly square. We will design and install studios of all shapes and sizes to make best use the space you have available. Some of our buildings lack a single right angle - by design!

Windows and doors: The French doors are each 900mm wide, with 450mm fixed panes either side and a small top hung window at the rear for ventilation. The frames are uPVC in anthracite grey, with high security 5-point locking doors and a key operated lock on the window.

Flooring: The standard floor for our Helix studios is a high quality v groove laminate. It is available in a number of attractive oak effects and comes with a 25-year manufacturer's residential warranty.

Heating and Cooling: A Fujitsu LT high spec climate control unit was installed by experts. This air to air heat pump is exceptionally energy efficient and will provide precise programmable temperature and humidity levels, throughout the year.

Electrics: Our electrician ran a 10mm 3 core armoured cable from the house to the studio, in accordance with building regulations and installed 8 internal and 2 external energy efficient LED down-lights and 4 double power sockets, all Part P certified.
