Summary

Creating adaptable all year round space, reliably warm and dry, without seemingly reducing your existing space is quite a feat but that is what so many people are achieving with the installation of bespoke garden studios. Our robust construction methods ensure thermally and acoustically insulated weather tight buildings, built to last many decades with minimal running costs. Our clients wished to create a garden studio but needed to retain some space for garden storage. The bespoke design needed to allow space down one side for access to their back gate.

Details

The site was level and clear when we commenced work however we are able to offer this service if required. Maximising light and internal space was an important aspect of this studio design. Powder coated aluminium bifolds dominate the front façade made up of three 900 by 205mm panes with an additional high top hung window to the side. The much needed storage area was created by sectioning off the rear right hand corner, accessible externally through a 'secret' cedar clad side door. Our certified electrician tapping off the mother board from the house ran 10mm armoured cable down the garden to power the studio. He installed eight internal and four external LED down lights, one external and four internal double power sockets and a wall mounted convector heater with thermostat and timer. The floor, our most popular option, is a hard wearing 10mm v groove laminate which comes with a 25 year residential warranty. We offer many floor colours and finishes which can be seen on our website. Externally the studio was finished in kiln dried western red cedar, an attractive and extremely durable, maintenance free, FSC wood. The expanse of hard wood decking completes this design and with the bifolds swept back, creates a spacious outside / inside area for the family's enjoyment.
