Summary

Mr Dunn wished to capitalise on the fabulous space available within his expansive wooded garden, to install a gym for his children. As with all gyms that we design and install, maximising head height is a key factor because of the bulky gym equipment. To be built within the allowances of permissible development the 'Planning' rule is that a flat roof building sitting more than 2 meters from the boundary, can be up to 3m high externally, as was the case with this build.

Details

- Extra height: 2.65 m internal head height, 3m external height.

- Thermowood cladding: Kiln dried thermowood, fixed with stainless steel secret fixings.

- Panoramic glazing: French doors plus 6 fixed panels, all 2.2m high, creating a spacious bright room with unfettered views of the woodland. 'A' rated double glazing that is Argon filled, with toughened glass and 'Planitherm total +' giving reliable energy performance.

- Frames: uPVC frames (anthracite grey externally, white internally) with high security 5-point locking to doors and key operated locks to windows.

- Flooring: Oak effect V groove 10mm laminate flooring, which comes with a 25 year residential manufacturer's warranty.

- Lighting and power: 9 internal and 4 external Aurora LED downlights and 5 double power sockets, installed by our experienced fully certified electrician.
