I am happy to say that we are extremely pleased with the building - it's everything we imagined and we're now looking forward to having all our gym kit arrived and properly using it. We were both impressed with how hard and fast the team worked.
The quality of the finish is extremely impressive. It's a beautiful and impressive structure!

Summary

The Wildes had recently moved to a brand new property and wanted to install a home gym. Their fitness training included the use of heavy weights and TRX suspension equipment, requiring a reinforced floor and ceiling point. For new sites still under development, normal 'permissible development' rights are removed to enable the developers to achieve and preserve the outlook of the site. It was necessary, therefore, to gain consent for the build from Redrow PLC. Agreement was given subject to a couple of stipulations; all four sides were to be wood clad and the door / window frames to match those of the house.

Details

- Extra height: 2.6m internal head height. 3m external building height

- Thermowood cladding: Kiln dried thermowood, fixed with stainless steel secret fixings.

- Reinforced concrete floor: Insulated and reinforced with steel mesh (rather than our usual steel screw pile foundations system).

- TRX suspension point: A predesignated part of the ceiling was strengthened in order to attach and use TRX equipment.

- Bespoke Frames colour matched: uPVC door and window frames were sprayed painted at point f manufacture to exactly match the frames of the house.

- High security: 5-point locking to French doors and key operated locks to windows.

- High Performance glazing: outstanding energy efficiency, easy clean, Argon filled toughened glazing with UV reflective Planitherm 4S.

- Finished Flooring: Rubber tiles, perfect for gym interiors.

- Lighting and power: 15 internal and 3 external Aurora LED downlights and 6 double power sockets, installed and fully certified.
