Garden Gym

External dimensions: 4.58m by 2.68m
Internal area: 10.6msq

Mr Akinola wanted a garden gym installed as part of a wider landscaping project. He wished to install the studio within permissible development parameters, thus avoiding planning permission. Due to the equipment used, gyms need to have more head height than other studios. To achieve this, yet keep to a maximum external height of 2.5m, we dug down 100mm, countersinking the floor. Throughout the build we liaised closely with his garden landscaper.

Light well: A great feature that increases natural light into the studio regardless of time of day.

Sedum Roof: A living sedum not only looks attractive, it also helps with the wild life of your garden, adds further sound and thermal insulation to the studio and assists in rain water management. (Please note Sedum is shade intolerant)

External finish: We offer two types of cladding: thermowood and cedar. Both are kiln dried so will not warp and are secured with secret stainless steel fixings that do not bleed. Here the customer upgraded to cedar which can be oiled annually or left to silver but is otherwise maintenance free.

Window and door frames: Powder coated aluminium in RAL7021ST (black / grey)

Bespoke glazing: A high fixed window (2.05m by 1.2m) meets the French doors giving a spacious open feel to the gym. A top hung window on (0.48m by 1.2m) the rear of the building ensures good ventilation throughout the year.

Engineered oak flooring: This timeless and hardy flooring comes with a 30-year manufacturer's residential warranty.

Fujitsu climate control: For perfect temperature and humidity winter and summer.

Electrics: Our electrician installed a PIR ( passive infrared sensor) light to the outside of the building, plus 6 internal LED down-lights, 2 floor and 3 wall sockets, all Part P certified.
