Summary

The ability to 'workout' at home, whenever you have the time or inclination, is an attractive option and why garden gyms are increasingly popular. Our client wanted a bespoke studio in which to keep her cross trainer and running machine; two bulky heavy pieces of equipment that would otherwise render a room in the house unusable for any other purpose. There was no requirement for this studio to be bigger than it needed and our client's main criteria was that it looked great!

Details

Our designer met with Mrs Allen, surveyed the site and discussed her aspirations. As the images show, the studio they came up with is a classic simple design, built to comfortably fit the equipment as required. The uPVC French doors and fixed glazed panel are in anthracite grey, a colour we find compliments the western red cedar and gives a sleek contemporary feel to the studio. The decked step is constructed with composite material (thermowood and plastic) affording durability and non-slip properties, also in anthracite grey. The flooring internally comes as standard and is a high quality 10mm v groove laminate. We offer many floorings such as engineered oak but the laminate is ideal for gyms as it is so robust and easily cleaned. The studio was fitted with four aurora downlights and three double power sockets and, as with all our studios, fully plastered and decorated ready for immediate use.
