Summary

Mr Fraser wished to install a multi-functional garden building which truly combines work and play. To that end, after a site survey and a few design iterations, we installed this spacious gym and office combo. The office on the left side, is accessed from an internal door within the gym and has a lovely fixed glazed panel giving ample light and views of the garden. A high top hung window on the rear wall of both rooms ensures good ventilation.

Details

Bi-folding doors: Four 900mm wide panels make up the powder coated aluminium bi-folds across the front of this gym. When opened these create an amazing outdoor feel to the gym as you work up a sweat!

Additional head height: By excavating 100mm down and counter sinking the floor we were able to achieve additional headroom to allow use of gym equipment.

Thermal Performance: Every element of our build contributes to the outstanding thermal performance; interlocking structural insulated panels (SIPs) make up the floor walls and ceiling, A rated double glazing with Planitherm coating to minimise heat loss with the external finish whether cladding or render providing yet further insulation.

Wi-Fi: Installed by our electrician via power cables for fast and reliable connectivity.

Flooring: Upgraded from our v groove laminate which comes as standard in our Helix range, to engineered oak floor which comes with a 30-year manufacturer's residential warranty.

Heating and Cooling: A Fujitsu LT high spec climate control unit was installed by experts and will provide precise programmable temperature and humidity levels winter and summer.

Electrics: Our electrician installed 11 internal and 3 external LED down-lights and 6 double power sockets, all Part P certified.
