Thank you so much for building our garden room/studio, it looks fantastic and we can't wait to use it this summer.

Costi & the other workmen (including Karl by phone) have been exemplary in the way that they have liaised with me on necessary details, and got on with the job diligently without us even knowing they are there most of the time! I would therefore be happy to write a recommendation for GardenSpaces anytime.

Summary

We all like to have our own space, whether it be for work, rest or play. Many people would like to have a purpose built space in which they can practice their hobbies or interests but this isn't always possible, this is where one of our garden studios could come into play.
Our studios can be used for almost any purpose from home gyms to offices, treatment rooms to childrens play rooms, or in this case a garden studio with a workshop.
Our client wanted a studio at the end of their garden on a piece of raised ground which wasn't used for anything. They had their own builders they wanted to use for the foundations and building up the surrounding ground to create a clear and level site on which the studio would sit. We were happy for this to go ahead and liased with the builders to ensure the foundations they installed would suit the building and meet our high standards.
Within the building our client wanted 2 seperate rooms, one for the studio area and one for the workshop. Each would have different finishes to maximise their practicality and ensure they could cope with the demands which would be placed on them. A small sink/kitchenette area was requested to add to the flexibility of the studio and provide everything our client would need from their building.

Details

When we arrived on site for this project the groundworks had all been completed for us by a builder chosen by the client. This left us with a perfectly clear and level site allowing construction of the studio to start straight away.
This studio is from our Helix range but as with many other examples of this specification of studio there are many upgrades, some unique to this build.
Externally the cladding was upgraded from our thermowood pine to Western red cedar which creates a beautiful finish to the building, a very attractive wood which allows for very visually appealing studios. This was then additionally finished in our premium exterior wood oil giving it a beautiful finish. The windows and doors were upgraded to our powder coated aluminium frames with highly efficient glazing throughout. The decking is our hardwood and allows for easy access to and from the studio whilst also providing some additional outdoor space to make the most of the warm and sunny days we sometimes get in summer.
Each side of the studio has their own entrance whilst also being connected internally. This means each area can be opened up to increase airflow and create a lovely working atmosphere whilst also providing a large enough entrance to get any equipment in or out.
The studio side of the building is finished with our engineered oak flooring which provides a solid yet attractive flooring solution and will last for a long time. There is a wall mounted convector heater to take the edge off in winter and the sink area was installed at the back of this section. The workshop is finished in a hard wearing waterproof Aqua laminate floor. This is made of high quality synthetic resins rather than wooden components has the added benefit of being both mould resistant and prevents dirt penetrating the floor. A convector heater was also installed this side to allow for warmth inside even on the coldest of winter days.

A fantastic looking a practical space.
