Summary

These clients wished to install a garden studio to capitalise on some outdoor living and to make the very most of their beautiful garden. The studio was to be a place for relaxing and entertaining for both family and friends.

Details

  • Underfloor heating: A great option for our studios, giving a perfect ambient temperature with touch screen thermostatic controls.
  • Engineered oak flooring: A timeless classic, warm under foot and exceptionally hard wearing (comes with a manufacturer's 30-year residential warranty)
  • Composite decking: The large expanse of non-slip decking effectively doubles the area for relaxing and dining. Composed of uPVC and wood, this decking is water-resistant, robust and matches the frames perfectly.
  • Frames: The French doors, 4 x glazed panels all have powder coated aluminium frames.
  • High performance glazing: Our high end option, this Argon gas filled double glazing has a Planitherm 4S heat reflective coating, is exceptionally thermal insulating and UV protective, and best of all, is (to a point) self-cleaning.
  • Western Red Cedar cladding: Our cedar is slow grown in cool climes giving it a fine almost knot-free grain and exceptional durability. It has lovely golden tones which can be maintained with annual oiling or left to silver with time.
  • Electrical installations: 6 internal and 3 external LED down-lights and 4 double power sockets in chrome, installed and certificated by our experienced electrician.
