The Palmers wanted to design and install a teenage crash pad and games room as part of a wider garden landscaping project. The dimensions were important; it needed to be spacious enough for a full-sized table tennis table. The windows were positioned to look over the garden and back across to the house.
Western Red Cedar cladding: A beautiful FSC wood that is kiln dried so will not warp. It is durable being maintenance free but can be oiled annually if preferred. (Here, it has been oiled)
Bi-folding doors:3 sashes of 1m x 2.05m high Bi-folding doors.
High performance glazing: Argon gas filled, heat reflective, thermal insulating, UV protective & easy clean.
Integral blinds: Completely sealed within the Argon filled double glazing, with magnetically controlled pulleys. They allow fine control of the light and are maintenance and cleaning free
Heating: Wall mounted Convector heater with thermostat
Flooring: Our high quality 10mm v grove laminate is aesthetic, exceptional practical and durable and comes with a 25 year manufacturers backed warranty.
Security PIR: Installed to activate external down-lights on approach.
Wi-Fi: Reliable connectivity with wireless broadband via power cable.
Frames: All powder coated aluminium frames (black/grey RAL7021ST)
Electrics fittings: 12 internal dimmable and 4 external energy efficient LED down-lights, 7 double power sockets, all Part P certified.
