Garden Spaces have created a stunning, custom designed living space for our family at a fraction of the cost of a similar sized extension. Their experience and expertise made the whole process from design to build, simple and remarkably stress free. The build itself was incredibly fast and finished beautifully with high quality materials. Could you please pass on how brilliant we thought Ashley and Alan were.
The original intention was for this striking studio to be used as an 'annexe' however requirements changed and it has become additional living space for the teenage children. As such, planning was not necessary however due to its size and the inclusion of a WC, Building Control inspections and sign off was required.
- Spacious teenage hangout: Spanning 10m by 2.4m this room has plenty of space for sofas, a TV or overhead projector, desks, storage cupboards and even a pool table.
- Integral cloakroom: Spacious room with toilet, sink with vanity unit, two-way macerator and wall mounted convector heater.
- Bi-folding doors: Giving stacks of light and the capacity to extend the indoor space outdoors, onto the non-slip composite decking, with its ramp access.
- Flooring: Upgraded to engineered oak that comes with a manufacturer's 30-year residential warranty.
- Door and window frames: Upgraded to powder coated aluminium with high security 5 point locking and key operated window locks.
- Western Red Cedar cladding: A striking feature of this build. This cedar is slow grown in cool climes giving it a fine even grain and exceptional durability.
- Heating: Two wall mounted Convector heater was installed with a thermostat and timer.
- Electrical installations: 27 internal and 7 external LED down-lights, 12 double power sockets for all those gadgets, an external double socket and security PIR light.
