Upgrades; double set of bifolding doors


For this build, our customer wanted a small studio with a double set of bifolding doors in the garden of their flat. Due to the location and proximity of the garden boundaries, planning permission was required as well as significant groundworks.
Other requirements were for a bathroom and kitchen to create an outdoor living space.


With regard to the groundworks, the customer had a seperate company lower the level of the garden by nearly 1.5 metres. We liased with this company to create the correct ground situation to match the footprint of the garden studio whilst also allowing suitable drainage.
We arranged for all planning documents to be taken care of and this was granted with no difficulty.
The plumbing for the bathroom and kitchen were installed with ease and provided everything anyone using the building would need to be self-sufficicent.
A living sedum roof was added by the customer to create a very attractive product.
