Garden Music Studio

Elegans 4 x 3

Music is a passion enjoyed by almost everyone, whether it is playing an instrument, mixing songs or simply sitting back and enjoying a CD, record or tape. Many people now play musical instruments but not all have the space to keep their instruments or somewhere they can play without disturbing family in the house or surrounding neighbours.
Mr Parkinson came to us looking for a garden studio which could be used by his son to play his guitar in and have his own space in which he could practice away from the house but also somewhere he could socialise with his friends and relax away from the family. Teenagers always want their own space so to have his own garden space would be an ideal solution for him.
Mr Parkinson wanted a studio small enough so as not to dominate the garden, but large enough for a sofa, guitars and equipment such as amps and a hifi. We would consider all this during the design stage and would go through all aspects with the family.

We have designed and built many garden studios which are now used for musical purposes from simple designs for a person playing a piano or acoustic guitar, to fully soundproofed recording studios and as such felt very confident we could provide the Parkinsons with a perfect solution.
The studio you see here is 4m x 3m which provides plenty of internal space for the sofa and musical equipment as well as plenty of room to move around in. As this studio has a multipurpose use we needed to ensure that as well as having enough space to play guitars, the studio would also be large enough to accomodate several teenagers playing video games or watching television. This studio provides plenty.
As well as room to play, the studio was specified with wireless broadband to allow everything from laptops to games consoles to be connected at fast internet speeds and add to the multipurpose use of the room. Externally, a double waterproof socket was added to allow lawn mowers and other gardening equipment to be plugged in and operated from the far end of the garden. The studio also features our integral blinds but rather than a silver colour Mr Parkinson has chosen a matt grey colour which compliments the dark frames of the windows and doors perfectly.
This studio is from our Elegans range and features composite decked step, western red cedar cladding, powder coated aluminium framed windows and doors, brushed metal sockets, light switches and down lights and as an additional feature, bifolding doors. These allow a whole corner of the studio to be opened up on warm days blending the lines between indoors and outdoors.
A beautiful studio ready for many years of use.
