Summary

Our client for this project came to us needing a home office studio which would also double up as a retreat/sanctuary from which he could escape day to day life. He and his girlfriend were expecting a baby and this can often be a tough time for all involved so having a seperate area where one can escape to is an added bonus. He was in the high voltage electrical profession and as such wanted to do some of the electrical work himself which was no problem for us, we are always happy to help clients with a project in any way we can even letting them do some of the installation work.
They wanted the studio to also include a shower suite and provide a connection for the future installation of a kitchenette should they decide to change the use of the studio from an office/retreat to a live in building suitable for guest accomodation or maybe a nanny.

Details

This fantastic looking studio is finished in our Elegans specification. This comes complete with Western Red Cedar cladding, powder coated aluminium framed windows and doors, brushed metal fixtures and fittings, downlighters and engineered wood floors. This studio also has a large hardwood decking area which is perfect for outdoor entertaining and provides additional space on warm summer days.
Internally we installed the shower suite complete with shower, sink, toilet and heated towel rail.
Other additions to this building include the installation of sub tubes. These allow extra natural light into the building through the ceiling minimizing the use and need for extra internal lights. The studio also has a climate control unit which cools, heats, dehumidies and circulates the air creating a perfect environment all year round for work, rest and play.
