Colum and John finished last week- it looks fantastic! We really appreciate the effort they, Jim and Richard put into making it a lovely space

Summary

Mr Moline wanted a workshop / office from which to work on engineering projects. There was space in the garden perfect for such an installation. Two important design considerations were; to achieve maximum natural light due to the detailed nature of his work and to minimise sound pollution. We offer a range of bespoke acoustic packages to suit individual requirements.

Details

- Bronze acoustic package: Walls and ceiling lined with a double layer of 12.5mm acoustic plasterboard, floor lined with acoustic underlay 5mm thick (22db).

- Skylights: 2 x aluminium frame roof lights, 750mm x 1200mm, giving good natural light regardless of time of day or year.

- Bi-folding doors: 3 sashes of 700mm by 2.05m, enabling the internal space to blend with the garden.

- Glazing and frames: Double glazed ('A' energy rated, argon gas filled) with toughened glass and frames in powder coated aluminium.

- Heating: Wall mounted convector heater was installed with a thermostat and timer, hard wired via a switched spur.

- Finished flooring: Upgraded to engineered oak which comes with a 30-year residential warranty.

- Electrical installations: 3 external LED down-lights on a separate switch, 2 x 5' strip lights sitting either side of the skylights and 5 double power sockets. Installed and fully certified with Part P, by our experienced electrician.
