Summary

Our client was undertaking a full redesign of their garden landscaping and was looking to replace an existing garage that was being used for storage with a functional building that could be used as a work space. As a part of a larger overall project the garden room would need to be built within a tight budget but still to a high standard.
Moving the office out of the house into a dedicated space in the garden would mean our client would regain the space within the house which could then be used by the family. The quiet space would be available for home working without the common distractions found around the home.

Details

Having removed the existing garage the existing concrete base could be inspected and was found to be suitable for the needs of the new garden office. Where an existing base is already in place, savings can often be made in time and materials ultimately resulting in us being able to pass on the savings to the client.
The office did not feature a climate control unit but with the large double french doors it is possible for good ventilation to be achieved. In the cooler weather the building can be heated with a simple electric heater and thanks to the thermally efficient design and materials will remain warm and comfortable in use.
We fitted a standard laminate floor along with upgraded internal and external down lighting.
