Summary

This family required more space and it made sound economic sense to utilise an area of level hard standing in their garden. They intended the studio as a play room and a family place to relax in and enjoy the garden from. There was, as with any such project, a budget. With our established history of building garden studios we have developed some popular standard designs and also offer the capacity to create bespoke shapes and styles. Either way the materials used are carefully selected for best quality and we offer complete flexibility in terms of specification in order to achieve the very best solution for your money. So, whether you have uPVC or aluminium frames, thermowood cladding or cedar, laminate floors or engineered oak - you can be assured the build quality, aesthetics and durability are the same.

Details

Our studios are built using highly robust thermally efficient SIPs (structured insulated panels). As a result it will be a warm welcoming place winter and summer with only the minimum amount of energy required to achieve the perfect ambient temperature. We offer a number of heating solutions including climate control, wall mounted convector heaters or underfloor heating. Our clients chose the latter which works perfectly with our laminate (and wood) flooring and we place thermally efficient insulating tiles onto our SIP floor to further improve performance. This under-floor heating system has a blue touch screen and thermostatically controlled unit giving the flexibility to fine tune and programme your heating. The frames here are uPVC in stylish anthracite grey which matches the roof trim and non-slip composite deck step (an important feature, especially with children running in and out). All glazing is toughened, argon-filled and A-rated adding safety and further energy efficiency. With every build we offer a complete one-stop-shop solution from ground clearance and site preparation, to electrical installations and fully decorated interiors. Of course we work with you and for this build our client chose to provide the 10mm 3 core armoured cable with a 2m tail, correctly positioned for our electrician to connect to and install down lights, power sockets and underfloor heating. Over all a great family space we hope will be enjoyed for many years to come.
