Summary

Many schools look for new and exciting ways in which to expand, the main problem for them being that budgets can often be very tight limiting the ways they can do this. Ridgeway School had this exact issue, they wanted a new and flexible extra classroom but didn't have a large budget. They had seen some of our previous builds for schools and came to us with their brief as we were by far and away their best option.
The site they had available would require lots of ground levelling due to the uneven nature of the surface. They also wanted minimal disruption to staff and pupils so we would need to consider this when choosing when to build.

Details

The quietest time for any school will always be the summer holidays when staff and pupils are given several weeks off. This provided us with the perfect conditions for building the extra classroom. With minimal people present on the school grounds this allowed for the builders to conduct their work without disrupting or disturbing pupils learning.
Once the ground had been levelled and a suitable build site was established, the ground works went ahead allowing the building to follow suit fairly quickly. This building is our Helix specification and is finished with upvc windows and doors, Thermowood cladding and striplighting. One key difference to this building is its height. Our standard buildings are 2.5m high, this is taller at 3m high.
This combined with the carpeted flooring has created a perfect learning environment, from within which you would never know you were in a building seperate from the main annexe of the school, whilst from the outside an attractive looking building compliments it's surroundings.
