Summary

Moving house is expensive, so many people are capitalising on the space in their gardens. The family, approached Garden Spaces, wanting to create a sizeable garden studio covering a multitude of functions. The studio covering 54msq is split into three rooms; a gym with adjoining toilet, a utility room and a large games and storage room. The gym and storage room were fully finished with painted walls and skirting, whilst the utility room is a simpler finish. Two images were taken many months after the build showing a well established and lived in building. Clearly a great addition for the family.

Details

  • Bespoke design and installation: This multi-functional studio consists of three conjoining rooms, each with its own access. The gym section of the studio, at the front, was dug down to achieve more head height internally. The decking along the side of the building was ramped up to account for this height differential.
  • 4 sash bi-folding doors: A striking feature across the front of the gym, enabling the front façade to be opened fully, with a glazed corner to enhance the light, views and sense of space internally.
  • Decking: Our non-slip composite decking wraps around the front and side of the building, creating more gym space when the bi-folds are pushed back and a wide walkway down to the other two rooms. Formed from wood and uPVC this decking looks great and is incredibly hard wearing and practical.
  • Toughened Glazing: A standard feature on helix models with A rated energy efficiency and Planitherm coating, enhancing the thermal performance of the studio.
  • Laminate flooring: Our 10mm oak effect laminate is perfect for this gym, utility room and storage area and comes with a manufacturer's 25-year residential warranty.
  • Frames: All window and door frames are powder coated aluminium in anthracite grey (RAL 7016)
  • Electrical installations: 13 internal and 7 external LED down-lights, two strip lights in the storage area and 7 double power sockets, installed by our experienced fully certified electrician.
