Summary

The beauty of our product as that we can design your studio it to fit whatever shape and size of space you have available. For these clients, designing a garden gym which utilised a triangular plot of garden was their remit. Other criteria included bespoke storage, specialist flooring, tilt windows and a mirrored wall.

Details

Being of SIPs construction (structured insulated panels) we can configure the panels into whatever shape is needed (as the images demonstrate). Internally the obtuse angle created to the rear was put to good use as a bespoke space for the client's fridge, with storage alcoves above and a recess in which to later locate a flat screen TV. The flooring, chosen by our client, is specialist weaved rubber used in gyms and dance studios. Other internal features included a mirrored wall with ballet bar down one side, twelve down lighters (the row above the mirror being mounted on pivot hinges), seven double sockets in brushed chrome, ceiling mounted speakers and a Hitachi Shirokuma (A+ energy efficient) climate control unit. Externally the chosen finish was our popular kiln dried western red cedar; an FSC wood with fine even grain, warm colours and timeless weather resistant durability. The frames and windows are constructed of powder coated aluminium. These, like our uPVC frames, are RAL coded giving everyone a wide choice of choice colours. The side and rear elevation were finished with cement particle board coated with a highly durable weather resistant paint. Stunning lighting is something we pride ourselves in and here our remit included the installation of up-lights along the fence line to softly highlight this studio gym in the evenings.
