Summary

Our client for this project was a keen musician and came to us with the need for a garden music room which could be created on a lower budget but would still fulfil all their needs and requirements. They were interested in our Gastropod range and this would require them to measure out the area for the studio and assess the ground conditions. Once this had been done they supplied us with the details and we discussed the available options after this with regard to external and internal finishes.

Details

Our Gastropod range allows many people to create a bespoke looking building in their garden on a lower budget. Externally they are finished in our Thermowood shiplap cladding on the front facade and come with upvc windows and doors. As a rule, the other 3 facades are finished in cement particle board which is then painted with a weather shield paint which comes in a variety of colours. Our client chose the white option for their studio matching their own home and creating a smart and elegant looking building.
To enhance the acoustic properties of the studio the client opted for our bronze acoustic package. This comes with a double layer of acoustic plasterboard in the walls and ceiling, and an acoustic underlay in the floor. This creates a very sound efficient box and causes minimal disturbance to anyone in the house or people in neighbouring properties and gardens.
The power sockets as you can see from the pictures were raised up from the usual position allowing for musical instruments to be plugged in without wires lying around the floor. Once furniture was added it also allowed for amps and other speakers to be placed within the studio at a higher level keeping the floors clear.
A very good building and a nice example of what can be done with our Gastropod range.
